On behalf of the Ste. Anne Council and staff, I am pleased to welcome you to our community’s website. We take great pride in our town, which is located 60 kms southeast of Winnipeg off the TransCanada Highway #1.
Ste. Anne’s population is 1626, with a notable presence of residents having French, English, Métis, German, Asian, Mexican, Russian and Philippine heritages. The Town of Sainte-Anne has facilities such as hockey rink, curling rink, the Knights of Columbus Community, cultural centre and is surrounded by many beautiful golf courses.
Ste. Anne also has several schools, French K-12 École Pointe-des-Chênes; École Ste. Anne Immersion K-8, Ste. Anne Elementary K-8, and Ste. Anne Collegiate 9-12.
Sainte-Anne residents can rely on excellent health services, with a 66 bed Nursing Home, Villa Youville, being a prime example with its spacious rooms and halls. An expansion project should be completed in 2012 which will include 29 new seniors’ housing units. The Sainte-Anne hospital has a 21 bed acute care facility and will also have an expansion project which will include 2 operating rooms, recovery room, endoscopy suite etc. The Town of Sainte-Anne also has a medical clinic, dental clinic, physiotherapy clinic and chiropractic clinic.
Ste. Anne has been referred to as the safest community in Manitoba thanks to our hard working members of our police department.
We hope you will enjoy the tour of our Town and that it inspires you to visit us soon. Come and enjoy our great hospitality.
